History Timeline
Latinx Theatre Alliance/Los Angeles held its 2nd Convening, "Navigating Currents in American Theatre”, in August of 2014, at East LA College Department of Theater. During this event a spontaneous “Timeline” of the history of Latinx Theatre in Los Angeles from the 1960’s onward was put together by the participants. The majority of the Timeline shown below was reconstructed from memory; therefore, some facts may vary. The following ephemera (photographs, post-its, show programs, etc.) are being preserved as the first attempt to record a chronology of modern Latinx theatre in Los Angeles. Thanks to our volunteers and participants for creating this invaluable resource.
