3rd Convening - “Awake and Activate” - 2020

This event took place in a virtual format, and spoke to the moment, offering tools for theater artists to combat hatred and prejudice. At this convening, LTA/LA also honored the life of Diane Rodriguez who passed away in April of 2020.

Second Writers' Circle - 2019

Playwright Luis Alfaro led this session in Boyle Heights.

1st Writers' Circle - “Nest Fest” - 2015

The Writers’ Circle was established to nurture and mentor emerging Latinx playwrights. “Nest Fest” was the inaugural group that went through this mentorship process.

2nd Convening - Navigating Currents In American Theater - 2014

This event focused on LGBTQ theater, Teatro en Español, and a designer's forum. The participants also attempted to create a handwritten "Timeline", the first attempt at chronological record of seminal LA Latinx theatre events.

1st Convening - The State of Latinx Theatre in Los Angeles - 2013

LTA/LA explored the various Latinx companies in the city and the types of productions they offered. Diane Rodriguez gave the keynote speech.
